Homework Week 2 Term 2
SPELLING:

WALT: Learn words from essential words list and extension word list.

Learn the 10 spelling words for the week. Practice learning them everyday.
Copy and complete the grid below for each word.
Put your 10 words into a sentence – 1 sentence for 1 word. Please keep the sentences neat. Underline your spelling word in the sentence.




MATHS:

Write out the questions and answers to the 9 timetables (up to 12) in your book. Practise reciting them with someone at home and get them to time you. Record your fastest time.
Challenge: How fast can you recite them all mixed up?

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Homophones are words that sound the same , but are usually spelt differently and mean different things. For example – to, too and two.

Can you think of 15 homophones and record them down in your homework book?

READING:

You must read for at least 15 minutes each night. Record your reading in the table below.


INQUIRY:
We are currently studying the Solar System for Inquiry – To infinity and beyond!

This week for homework, can you find between 3 and 5 interesting facts about the solar system?
They could be about anything – black holes, planets, the moon, the sun, the earth, shooting stars – anything!

Be prepared to share these with the class on Friday.
