Week One - Term Three


Homework Week 1 Term 3

SPELLING:

Learn the 10 spelling words for the week. Practice learning them everyday.
Put your 10 words into a sentence – 1 sentence for 1 word. Please keep the sentences neat. Underline your spelling word in the sentence.

MATHS:

Write out the questions and answers to the 7 and 8 timetables in your book. Make sure you learn both the multiplication and division facts. Practice reciting them with someone at home and get them to time you. Record your fastest time.
Challenge: How fast can you recite them all mixed up?

READING:

You must read for at least 15 minutes each night. Record your reading in the table below.











INQUIRY:
This term we will spend a lot of time focusing on wearable art. You need to start thinking about your own work of art.  Take some time to talk to your family about your ideas.
Check out the WOW website. http://www.worldofwearableart.com/  and choose one piece of art to write a paragraph about.
Describe the art work. What does it look like? What is it made of?
What is about the piece of art that you like?
What ideas or feelings do you think the artist was trying to convey?  
What does it remind you of or make you think about?

Homework: Term 2 week 10

This is the last homework for the term so lets do something a bit different.

Spelling:

No need to select your spelling words for the week. This week visit Silent Invaders to practice your silent letter knowledge. Choose Level 3 - Warp speed for a challenge!

Term 2 Reflection:

It's nearly the end of the term. It sure has been a busy one! Everyone has worked incredibly hard on all the many activities throughout the term.

Visit your classroom blog and read through all the posts from the term. Choose at least two posts to comment on. Write a PMI comment each post.

Maths

Explode 56. i.e think of as many questions as you can that have the answer 56. Can you think of over 56 questions?

Inquiry:
Design a spacecraft to travel through the solar system. Draw your design in your homework book with labels and descriptions of all the special features.
