Homework Term 3 Week 1

Welcome back. We hope you have all had a wonderful break and you are ready to go. We have a great term planned and promise lots of fun.

Spelling:
Spelling this week is going to be a little bit different. You are going to have an Essential Spelling List test and a Commonly Misspelt Words test. Go over the list this week with your parents. Highlight the words on your list that you get correct.

Reading:
You must read for at least 15 minutes each night. Record your reading in the table below.


Maths

Play a maths game/activity from one of the links of any classroom blog. Record what game you played in your book. What skills were you trying to improve?

Literacy
Our new writing topic in class is Character Writing.
Your task this week is to write:
-A quality (not cliche) simile to describe a family member
-A metaphor to describe a family member
-A sentence using alliteration to describe a family member

Your sentences will be written in your neatest handwriting and they will be fully checked and proofread for errors.
