Term 3 Week 7

Spelling
WALT – Learn your 10 words. Take 2 words from the last 5 weeks as revision


Reading
You must read for a minimum of 15 minutes every night, any longer is a bonus! Draw a picture of your favourite character and say why you like them.

Maths
Choose one (or both) of the following options:

Term 3 Week 6

Spelling
WALT – Learn your 10 words. This week you need to be able to recite them to your parents while you are doing the dishes or cleaning your room.

Reading
You must read for a minimum of 15 minutes every night, any longer is a bonus! Draw a picture of your favourite character and say why you like them.

Maths
Choose one (or both) of the following options:
• Choose 2 of the times tables that you find the trickiest and practice them. Remember to learn the whole family of facts. Don't forget those division facts!
• Go onto the class blogs and play some of the maths games. Can you find one to play that you have never played? Record the games down.

Literacy
This week you are to write a short book review of a book you have already read.
Include the following:

Summary of the story:

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Term 3 Week 5 Homework

This is a really busy week for everyone this week. There's Dancesplash, a rugby tournament, Artsplash and very important maths tests for some!

Because of this there is only a small about of homework for you to do this week. If you would like to do more, feel free to visit the class blogs to literacy and numeracy games.

Spelling

Learn your ten spelling words for the week. Recite the spelling of them every night with someone at home. Remember if you have really tricky words that you don't know the meaning of find the meaning of the word using a dictionary. Write the meaning in your homework book.

Reading

Please continue to read every night and record what you have read. Write a small reflection of what you have read in your book.

Spelling
WALT – Learn your 10 words and include them in a short story. Try to be as creative as you can and don’t forget your VCOP’s. Underline your words.


Reading
You must read for a minimum of 15 minutes every night, any longer is a bonus! Draw up a table and record your reading progress. Be sure to write a small reflection of your reading this week. What did you enjoy? Do you have any ideas on what might happen next?


Sport
• This week you will be playing soccer. Write a paragraph about your morning of soccer so that when your teacher reads it they get a clear understanding of how much you enjoyed it (I’m sure you will!) Make your paragraph interesting and include your favourite part(s) of the morning.

Inquiry
Start talking with your friends and family about the facilities in the community they enjoy. Make sure you ask them why they enjoy them. Record down 3 responses.
